In the spirit of inviting expert opinions to guide our work, Street Law is excited to assemble the 2026 Street Law Teacher Amicus Group.
We are seeking 20 middle and high school teachers to advise Street Law in ensuring our curricular materials and teacher professional development offerings are precisely what teachers and their students need.
We value teacher input and will weigh the expert opinions of our Teacher Amicus Group seriously when making decisions about the subject matter and approach of our materials.
This year, we are piloting new supporting materials to accompany the interactive timelines on our LegalTimelines.org website. We will focus our efforts on creating and adapting materials to make the timelines and resources more accessible to and responsive to the needs of special education and middle school students.
Piloting these materials will be the first order of business for the 2026 Teacher Amicus Group.
Special education teachers; middle school teachers; and teachers from Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, and rural communities across the United States are especially encouraged to apply.
The application deadline is January 30, 2026.
