We are thrilled to welcome three new members to the Street Law Board of Directors! This trio brings invaluable skills and enthusiasm to the team.

Deepak Dutt

Deepak Dutt is Vice President, Treasurer, and Investor Relations Officer at EchoStar Corporation. Prior to joining Echostar, he worked for Hughes Network Systems, Hughes Telecom India, and played various roles at IBM.

Deepak contributes deep financial experience and acumen to the Street Law board. Hughes Network Systems, a subsidiary of EchoStar, has participated in Street Law’s Legal Diversity Pipeline Program since 2014. Additionally, EchoStar participates on the host committee for Street Law’s annual awards gala.

Sandra Rose

Sandra Rose is Social Studies Instructional Supervisor, K-12 Department of Curriculum and Instruction, for Prince George’s County (MD) Public Schools. She has been a classroom social studies teacher, a social studies instructional specialist, and adjunct faculty at Trinity University and University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in leadership in special education.

Sandra brings significant social studies education experience to the Street Law board. In the past, Street Law and Sandra have partnered to bring professional development to social studies teachers in Prince George’s County.

Savalle Sims

Savalle Sims is Discovery Communications’s Executive Vice President & General Counsel. Prior to joining Discovery, Savalle was a partner at Arent Fox LLP, where she focused on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters and served on the firm’s employment and diversity committees.

Savalle first became involved in Street Law as a law student at the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she taught law in the local community. Discovery Communications is a longstanding participant in Street Law’s Legal Diversity Pipeline Program. Discovery has also participated on the Street Law Awards Dinner host committee for the past several years.
