Street Law Welcomes New Staff Members

Street Law is happy to introduce our newest staff members!

Jennifer Whatley is our Chief Program Officer. She oversees Street Law’s key program areas and heads up our talented program team, working to ensure that Street Law’s programs are as successful and impactful as they can be.

Jennifer has more than two decades of experience as a senior leader in the international development field, where she oversaw the design, development, and implementation of a variety of civic engagement, governance, and democracy-building programs around the globe.

Cathy Ruffing is our Senior Director, Teacher Professional Development Programs & Curriculum. She brings nearly three decades of classroom experience to Street Law’s Teacher Professional Development Programs and curriculum development efforts. She directs our annual Supreme Court Summer Institute and travels across the country bringing high-quality PD to social studies teachers.

Cathy first connected with Street Law as a participant in the 2002 Supreme Court Summer Institute. Since then, she has served as a reviewer of Street Law: A Course in Practical Law and received our 2007 Educator of the Year Award.
