We are proud to report that Street Law’s Legal Diversity Pipeline Program, which began in 2001, finished up the 2017-18 school year with an impressive 87 active program sites operated by nine law firms and 65 corporate law department partners!
An astounding 1,900 legal community volunteers lent their time to programs around the country!
And over 5,000 high school students participated in a program, an increase of 418 over the previous year!

As noted by Jessica Buchsbaum, Chief Legal Talent Officer for Bilzin Sumberg LLP in Miami, “Exposing high school students to the profession early — and at a crucial stage —seems to be a step in the right direction” towards ensuring that “…the legal profession accurately represents the diversity of the communities in which we reside and practice”.
Preparations will soon begin for the 2018-19 school year.
