15 SCOTUS Case Summaries for Redesigned AP Govt Politics Exam

In response to the recent AP U.S. Government & Politics course and exam redesign, Street Law has prepared summaries of the 15 identified Supreme Court cases. We’ve also developed two new companion resources: Using Case Studies in the Classroom, which provides instructions on seven strategies for teaching about U.S. Supreme Court cases, and SCOTUS Comparison Cases for the AP Government and Politics Redesign, which is a compiled this list of Street Law case summaries that can be used as comparison cases to the 15 required cases.

Notes:

  • As is typical for all Street Law resources, each summary will be reviewed by outside legal experts and an AP Government teacher prior to its release.
  • These resources may be used in any relevant class, not just AP U.S. Government & Politics.
  • To download the case summaries above, you will be prompted to create a web account on the new Street Law store.

Special thanks to the Supreme Court Historical Society for providing support for this project!
