Fall 2017 SCOTUS IN THE CLASSROOM Case
Our first cases of the term will be a blockbuster: "Trump v. IRAP" and "Trump v. Hawaii." These cases are challenges to President Trump’s executive order restricting travel to the U.S. by foreign nationals from six majority Muslim countries. Teachers are encouraged to teach these cases because they explore fundamental constitutional concepts about presidential power, separation of powers, and the First Amendment’s freedom of religion protections.
