Michael Gee is Vice President, Humanities Academic Design for McGraw-Hill Education, the publisher of the Street Law text and many market-leading social studies programs. He heads a team that designs and develops educational solutions for a portfolio that includes K-12 social studies, world languages, and music.

Mike has a long history of leadership in humanities and social studies product development and portfolio management. Prior to his current position, which is his second turn at McGraw-Hill, Mike held several senior roles at Pearson Education in product development, product management, and procurement. Before Pearson, he served as High School Social Studies Editorial Director for Glencoe/McGraw-Hill. He has also worked for McDougal Littell/Houghton Mifflin, South-Western, and other publishers over a long career in K-12 publishing. He is a graduate of Kenyon College and has an M.A in English from the University of Virginia. He resides in Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Mike is also an elected member of the school committee for the King Philip Regional School District, which includes the towns of Norfolk, Wrentham, and Plainville, Massachusetts. He is currently the board’s vice-chair and serves on the Budget and Finance and Policy subcommittees and several collective bargaining subcommittees.
