Islam and Democracy: Toward Effective Citizenship is an Arabic text connecting the tenets of Islam to the principles of democracy. Using Street Law, Inc.’s Democracy for All text as a framework, Street Law, Inc. staff, the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy, and experts from the participating countries collaborated to develop the text. Through interactive workshops, community leaders used this text to facilitate discussion about civil society and Arab culture.
